Frequently asked questions
- How do the files get their names?
- From whatever you put before the comma or tab on each line. A line that is only a link gets a numbered name, and duplicates are numbered rather than overwritten, since two rows named the same is an ordinary spreadsheet.
- Are the codes checked?
- Every one of them is decoded before it goes into the archive. Anything that reads back as different text is left out and named on screen; anything a scanner could not read at all is included with a warning, since a decoder saying no is evidence rather than proof.
- Do the codes expire?
- No. These are static codes: the link is inside the picture, so there is nothing to expire, no account behind them and nothing counting the scans.
- Is my list uploaded?
- No. The list stays in the page, the codes are drawn in your browser, and the zip is assembled there too. You can disconnect your network after the page loads and it all still works.
