Frequently asked questions

Is my document uploaded when I sign it?
No. The page preview, the signature and the final stamping all run inside your browser. Neither your document nor your signature ever leaves your device.
Is this a cryptographic digital signature?
No, and we want to be upfront about that. This tool places an image of your handwritten signature on the page and flattens it into the PDF, which is what most everyday forms and agreements ask for. It does not add a certificate-based digital signature, so it provides no cryptographic proof of identity. If a recipient requires a certified digital signature, you'll need dedicated e-signing software.
Where can I place the signature, and can I resize it?
Anywhere on any page. Click the spot on the page preview, pick the page with the arrows, and set the size with the width slider (5% to 60% of the page width). The signature keeps its proportions and always stays within the page.
